How is this filter different from the Max 2 Stage Filter?
The key difference between the Pure 10k vs. the Max 2 Stage Filter is the filtration removal of fluoride.
Both Survivor Filter™ Home models offer the same exceptional NSF/ANSI certifications to removes lead, arsenic, heavy metals VOCs, as well as removing unpleasant taste and odor from your tap water. In addition, the Max 2 Stage Filter has a secondary fluoride removal filter.
What is the flow rate of the Pure 10k filter?
The Pure 10k Filter System features a flow rate up to 0.5 GPM (1.8 LPM)
How often do I need to change the filter? When do I know?
The Pure 10k Filter has a 10,000 gallon (37,854 liters) lifespan before it needs to be replaced. On average, this is about 3 years for the usage life cycle.
If you notice your water has an odor to it after filtering or a reduction in flow rate from your faucet, you will know it's time to replace the filter. Using the filter after it has passed it's lifespan can make it less effective at removing contaminants and maintaining a steady water output rate.
Unusually high levels of contaminants may reduce the capacity of the filter.
Will this work only with kitchen sinks?
The Home Filter Systems is designed to be used in any residential home, business or anywhere with an existing water line. You can install it in your kitchen, office, guest bathroom, ice makers in your refrigerator, campers, RV and more!
