Survivor Filter - Hydration Reservoir

Frequently Asked Questions

Straw + Squeeze PRO Pump Electric PRO X ACTIVE Filtration Bottle Hydration Reservoir
  • What is the best way to clean my hydration reservoir?

While there are many ways to clean a hydration reservoir, we recommend using a denture cleaning tablets because they are safe, easy to use, and effective and won’t damage the reservoir like bleach.

  • Simply fill up the hydration reservoir with warm (not boiling water) to ¾ full.

Then drop in two denture cleaning tablets into the pack, mix it for 10 minutes then suck a bit until the hose allows for the tubing to fill with water.

Let the solution and the warm water sit in the pack for at least one hour then flush through and completely empty the pack.

  • How often should I clean my hydration reservoir?

We recommend cleaning the reservoir after every by using denture cleaning approach stated above. As bacteria can set in sitting water within 24-48 hours

  • Can I dissemble the hose and clean the inside?

Yes! Simply push the hose release button and disconnect it from the hydration reservoir. We recommend cleaning with denture cleaner and not removing the hose as stated above.

  • Should I clean the mouthpiece as well?

The mouthpiece can be cleaned on the outside with warm water and a little bit of natural soap. Be sure to rinse the soap thoroughly from the mouthpiece to prevent from digesting later.

  • How do I ensure the mouthpiece closes properly without leaking?

For the mouthpiece to close properly and to ensure watertight sealing of the Survivor Filter Hydration Reservoir without leakage, you need to push down the mouthpiece threading towards the base of the mouthpiece. Then we recommend filling with water and pushing gently on the reservoir to make sure no water comes out of the mouthpiece. If it does, then you need to firmly press down on the mouthpiece and repeat the process.
