What is an in-line filter?
Simply put, an in-line water filter is a water filtration system that connects to your existing water line. No extra installation necessary!
How is this filter different from the Pure 10k Filter?
Both Survivor Filter™ Home models offer the same exceptional NSF/ANSI certifications to removes lead, arsenic, heavy metals VOCs, as well as removing unpleasant taste and odor from your tap water. In addition, theMax 2 Stage Filterhas a secondary fluoride removal filter.
What is the flow rate of the Max 2 Stage filter?
The Max Filter System features a flow rate up to 0.5 GPM (1.8 LPM).
You may notice a drop in flow-rate on your cold water line after installation as our Stage 1 Fluoride Filter can reduce filtration flow rate up to 15% to maximize contaminant adsorption through the Stage 1 Fluoride Filter.
How often do I need to change the filter? When do I know?
The Stage 1 Fluoride Filter has a 5,000 gallon (18, 927 liters) lifespan before it needs be replaced. On average, this is about 1.5 years for the usage life cycle.
The Stage 2 All Tap Filter has a 8,000 gallon (30, 284 liters) lifespan before it needs to be replaced. On average, this is about 2 years for the usage life cycle.
If you notice your water has an odor to it after filtering or a reduction in flow rate from your faucet, you will know it's time to replace the filter. Using the filter after it has passed it's lifespan can make it less effective at removing contaminants and maintaining a steady water output rate.
Unusually high levels of contaminants may reduce the capacity of the filters.
Will this only work with kitchen sinks?
The Home Filter Systems is designed to be used in any residential home, business or anywhere with an existing water line. You can install it in your kitchen, office, guest bathroom, ice makers in your refrigerator, campers, RV and more!
Where is this filter made?
