-
How often do I need to change the filter? When do I know?
The Stage 1 Fluoride Filter has a 5,000 gallon (18, 927 liters) lifespan before it needs be replaced. On average, this is about 1.5 years for the usage life cycle.
The Stage 2 All Tap Filter has a 8,000 gallon (30, 284 liters) lifespan before it needs to be replaced. On average, this is about 2 years for the usage life cycle.
If you notice your water has an odor to it after filtering or a reduction in flow rate from your faucet, you will know it's time to replace the filter. Using the filter after it has passed it's lifespan can make it less effective at removing contaminants and maintaining a steady water output rate.
Unusually high levels of contaminants may reduce the capacity of the filters.
